Hopeful Harvest is a family-owned and operated 68-acre rural farm, nestled between the upper and lower Brewers Mills locks on the Rideau Canal. We offer a variety of flowers, seasonal, field fresh vegetables and rustic, garden décor in a warm, inviting atmosphere conveniently located just off highway 15 - just 20 minutes north of Kingston!
Our Story
COVID-19 has impacted and influenced all our lives in a myriad of different ways over the last few years. It propelled us into the fresh produce and flower farming business!
At the beginning of the pandemic, when supply chains were severely disrupted and you could not get toilet paper, bread or fresh vegetables anywhere and all the flowers were sold out in seemingly hours, we realized that being able to source local produce was far more important than we had thought. Here we were with 68 acres of beautiful but, sadly, unproductive land and decided to start growing vegetables on a few acres. Little did we know how much we would enjoy it - despite the hard labor – and that Hopeful Harvest would soon be born!
Now, we have two greenhouses, beautiful blooms and several fields growing delicious vegetables, and herbs! It has been a VERY steep learning curve – one that we know we will be on for a long time!
Our promise to you is to continue to improve until we consistently bring you the most beautiful flowers and the freshest and tastiest produce you can find anywhere. We really LOVE what we do and we hope you come visit us to see why!
